Introducing the Trek Domane 6.2 Disc Compact Road Bike 2016; your ticket to mile upon mile of road riding enjoyment and performance. Designed for long and enjoyable hours in the saddle, the Domane 6.2 features Trek's endurance geometry, which is designed to maximise control, handling and responsiveness through a fine tuned rider weight bias.

The frame itself is constructed from Trek's premium quality OCLV carbon fibre, which is fined tuned to optimise power transfer through the frame and pedals. Further enhancing this bikes endurance credentials is the IsoSpeed decoupler. This allows the saddle to rotate independently of the top tube and seatstay junction, increasing vertical compliance to twice that of its nearest competitor without compromising pedalling efficiency.

Stopping power is accounted for with Shimano's RS685 hydraulic disc brakes, with 160mm rotors. These brakes provide the powerful and graduated stopping power that only discs can provide and their unique cooling technology makes them perfect for long descents.

Shimano also provide the gearing in the form of their Ultegra 6800 11-speed groupset. Smooth and assured shifting is a given and the compact crankset means you have the gear range to power up and over steep and long ascents.

As per usual with Trek bikes, no stone has been left unturned in the quest for performance. Bontrager Race Lite IsoZone handlebars integrate vibration dampening pads on the top of the bars and the drops, so you can stay comfortable for longer and avoid that nasty numb hand feeling.

As your contact-point, the road wheels and tyres are of utmost importance, especially on an endurance-focused bike like this one. Thankfully the Bontrager Affinity Comp Tubeless Ready wheels with Bontrager's Premium R3 Hard-Case Lite tyres provide grip and stability as well as great puncture protection. The high 120 tpi count on the tyres means they are wonderfully supple, making your ride all the more smooth.
