Eurobike Show 2018
Day One Highlights
Held in Friedrichshafen in Germany, Eurobike is to the cycling industry what the Geneva Motor Show is to the motoring world. Showcasing what's hot for the upcoming year, brands flock to the show, with everything from bikes and cycle clothing to cutting-edge components and game-changing accessories on display. We have picked out just some of our highlights from day one of the 2018 show.
POC Omne Air Spin Helmet
POC's newest addition to their road range, the Omne Air SPIN Helmet is a great all-rounder. As with all POC helmets, safety is a priority, and the Omne features the SPIN protection system. The profile is narrower than other POC offerings, with a smaller insert across the top, and a redesigned shape, making it appealing to a wider audience. Additionally, this helmet is available in an AVIP edition to suit riders looking for a high visibility option.
Wahoo KICKR HEADWIND Smart Fan
Connecting to your trainer and other sensors, now you can adjust and control your climate to suit your workout. The powerful cooling airflow of the KICKR HEADWIND Smart Fan can be controlled via Bluetooth or ANT+ on the Wahoo app or set to automatically adjust based on your heart rate, power or speed.
Targeted the airflow directly at your body, you’ll get an outdoor feel, indoors. Designed for use with the KICKR DESK, although working equally as well by itself, you can use the wheels to roll the fan into the exact position you need.
Wahoo KICKR CORE Smart Trainer
Riders looking for a direct drive trainer at a great price point will have their needs met by this new KICKR CORE. Offering the same silent experience and the same compatibility as its big brother, this trainer simulates climbs up to 16% and is accurate to +/- 2%, while measuring power up to 1800 watts.
Wahoo KICKR Smart Trainer 2019
The fourth generation of this popular Smart bike trainer is quieter than ever. The belt has been updated to a ‘V’ shape that eliminates the whir for a virtually silent riding experience.
Accurate to +/- 2%, you can put out some serious watts - up to 2200, in fact, and the trainer simulates climbs up to 20%. A heavier flywheel makes for a more solid feel, and the KICKR is shipped with a Shimano 105 cassette as standard.

Manufactured in white, processed, and then dyed, you get a distinctive pigmentation effect in every detail. This unique feature is combined with the latest technology in both fabric and design, with men’s and women’s cuts and colours available.
Sportful Bodyfit Pro 2.0 Short Sleeve Jersey
Updated following feedback from pro riders, this range is designed for those looking for a high-performance garment. The Sportful Bodyfit Pro 2.0 Jersey is available in three options, Light, Evo and Classics, to suit a variety of conditions. Improvements include a wider and more comfortable collar and laser-cut sleeve, reducing stress on the body.
Sportful Bodyfit Pro Bomber 111 Suit
Named after the winning performances of Peter Sagan, you can wear what the World Champion wears with the Sportful's Bodyfit Pro Bomber 111 Suit. This is a suit made for speed, maximising performance through a technical construction and aerodynamic features. The single piece torso reduces seams and the seamless leg band has a silicone grip to hold it in place. The TC Pro seat pad has padding up to 13mm thick to absorb the shocks of the road.
Your race number can be tucked out of the wind in it's own pocket, eliminating the need for pins, while three rear pockets are the place to store gels and other race essentials.
Argon 18 Nitrogen Disc Road Bike
Stiff, aerodynamic, comfortable and lightweight, this is a reincarnation of the Nitrogen Pro, with the addition of disc brakes. As with all Argon 18 road bikes, it utilises the Horizontal Dual System, in which the carbon layup and material differs to suit two different areas of the bike. Compliance is a priority in the rear upper portion, while stiffness is maintained in the headtube and downtube. Argon 18's fit system means every size has a different mould, and therefore each size benefits from the same advantages. The 3D headset has an aero cap so you can add more spacers without losing any of the stiffness of a slammed stem.
CeramicSpeed DrivEn Drivetrain
Say goodbye to your chain and hello to the most efficient drivetrain you’ve ever experienced. With a chain-drive system, there’s a ceiling to efficiency, due to cross-chaining. In this CeramicSpeed prototype, this is completely eliminated and efficiency is brought up to 99%. The chain and derailleur pulleys have been replaced with a drive-shaft, and the teeth and cogs engage with ceramic bearings, reducing friction.
Although still a concept, this DrivEn drivetrain is definitely one to keep an eye on. Potentially game-changing, it’s yet to be proven if this will go into production.
