Catching Their Break

Sigma Sports has been a long-standing supporter of the British racing scene. From managing the IG Sigma Sports team in the 2000s to our ongoing support of London-based cycling teams and sponsorship of The CiCLE Classic, we appreciate the essential role that bike racing plays in inspiring cyclists and motivating individuals to get moving.

The decision to sponsor the Tofauti Everyone Active Majaco recognises the increasingly key role of junior and grassroots teams in the progression to bike racing and the wider ecosystem of the cycling industry.

We’ve endeavoured to capture the spirit of the team through this film and highlight the case for greater support for grassroots racing in the UK.

The Tofauti Everyone Active Majaco Team

Tofauti have built a cycling team for junior women and men, aged 16-18. The team is designed to empower young people to take control of their cycling development. Since 2020, they have created a supportive team environment that provides opportunities for the riders to showcase their talent and race on the European stage.

“We’re passionate about giving British junior riders the opportunities to show themselves at the biggest under-19 races in the world, where strong performances can set them on the road to pro careers. At the same time, we know that a caring, empathetic, holistic environment in the team and in its support for the riders, creates better performance outcomes and, importantly, more rounded young people.”

Ian Mansel-Thomas, Team Principal, Tofauti Everyone Active Majaco

“With Junior racing developing so quickly and becoming much closer to women's racing I feel there is a huge amount of knowledge I can pass onto the juniors, not just on the bike but also off the bike. More so off the bike it to be honest, especially with the lack of radios in junior racing , there is only so much you can help in the race. That’s why it is important to try and be as approachable as possible and always ask them questions to show that I am also open to questions.”
