Relatively new to the bustling scene of eateries that call Kingston upon Thames their home, for our first ever gravel Soigneur instalment, Ione and Liam visited Marna Coffee. Discover the route the pair rode as part of this latest Soigneur instalment.

Independently run, Marna Coffee's tag line is 'coffee and chill' and who could argue with that combination? Located off the main thoroughfare through the historic market town of Kingston upon Thames, as you enter Marna you are greeted by a team of friendly staff, coffee machines burbling away and a setting as perfect for meeting for a bike ride as it is for simply sitting down with a book to while a way a couple of hours.

Marna Coffee is perfectly situated for those riding out from London, looking for a stop off after a few Richmond Park laps or, like us a caffeine and cake fix before heading into Surrey's trails on a gravel ride.

For this entry in our Soigneur guide, Sigma Sports staff members, Ione and Liam started their gravel ride from Marna Coffee, meeting here for some all important sustenance to help fuel their Surrey adventure. Check out the route here.

Here's what Ione and Liam had to say:

"Marna is definitely going to be my go-to coffee stop to finish my rides at. Being from NZ where cafe culture is massive it's nice to find a cafe that reminds me of that with really good coffee and a good selection of sweet treats." - Ione

"Marna Coffee is the ideal location for a cafe stop on any ride going through Kingston. The only thing better than the drinks is the incredible cake selection." - Liam

A fast paced ride, through the Esher Woods required equally performance focused kit and as such Liam opted for a Sigma Sports Rule28 jersey and bib short combo and combined it with a MET helmet and Oakley sunglasses. He rode a Cervelo Aspero gravel bike.

The Albion range is designed for adventures so it felt only right for Ione to rock their clothing for this ride. To complement this look she also opted for a Sweet Protection helmet, Koo sunglasses and Specialized shoes. She rode a Specialized Crux gravel bike.
