Nice fit and improved leg grippers but a definite drop in quality compared to previous GT Mille shorts with cheap transfers instead of embossed branding and lycra feeling thinner and of lower quality. I've worn Mille shorts for 15 years and the standard has definitely reduced - sadly. Pad feels less cushioned that the previous model. Guess that's progress!

Assos MILLE GT Bib Shorts S11
Lightweight, sleek, and refined, the Assos MILLE GT Bib Shorts S11 deliver the perfect balance of comfort and performance mile after mile. The S11 generation MILLE GT features a lighter, more durable body textile with a deep, true- black colour, providing breathability and ultrasoft comfort even on long rides. The RollBar construction, adapted from Assos’ Racing Series, locks your position in place during cornering, climbing, or sprinting, while shedding unnecessary weight and extending leg length for a modern, streamlined silhouette. These enhancements make the MILLE GT S11 the ideal first touchpoint into the Assos world, combining daily usability with high-performance design.
Secure Fit for Every Ride
The updated Piltec leg construction and grippers ensure the shorts stay perfectly in place, offering a smooth, 360-degree hold that prevents chafing and keeps your muscles supported. Whether tackling long endurance rides or daily commutes, the MILLE GT Bib Shorts S11 provide consistent, reliable support, iconic Assos comfort, and unmatched durability.
Mille GT S11 seat pad
The Mille GT S11 seat pad features shock-absorbing 12mm high-density foam, maintaining perfect support over the course of a ride. The 3D waffle construction is a 3-layer, perforated foam that increases breathability and removes excess weight. The Goldengate 2.0 design anchors the pad front and back, allowing the pad to move in harmony with your movements, while flexible wings ensure smooth and frictionless pedal strokes.

Reviews
My Le Col Hors Categorie bibs are getting a little tired in the elastic so I thought I would try these. Materials and workmanship is all quite excellent, a step above Le Col for sure. Comfort, I would say on the handful of 40k rides perhaps on-par with my previous bibs. Immediate first impressions on the saddle are quite good, the way the front of the chamois behaves is very nice actually. Where the straps sit is very excellent. On a big climb out of the saddle I did get a bit of a feeling of a wedgie which is not what you want, though the second time out this wasn't an issue. On the whole looking forward to wearing them more. Enjoying the burgundy colourway also.

About Assos
Swiss precision. Half a century of obsession.
Assos of Switzerland was founded in 1976 by Toni Maier-Moussa with a single ambition: reinvent cycling apparel from the inside out. The Lycra cycling short, modern bibs, the chamois as we know it — all began here. Half a century later, the obsession with precision and ride feel hasn't moved an inch.
Assos still designs and engineers every piece in Switzerland. The brand operates its own laboratory, its own development pool of test riders, and its own assembly line for the most demanding garments in the range.
