Assos Mille GT Winter Bib Tight

During the colder seasons, the Assos Mille GT Winter Bib Tight provides the insulation and coverage you need when shorts paired with knee warmers just won't cut it. RX Heavy and RX Light fabrics are strategically placed to keep the wind and rain out and your body heat in. An odorControl treatment prevents the build-up of bacteria for improved longevity.

The MILLE S7 EVO insert is a top option for getting the miles in, with 8mm of memory foam that absorbs shock. A three-layer perforated foam keeps the air flowing for added freshness. Up top, the tight is supported by wide stretchy bib straps with a stabilising Y-shaped back, and reflective details on the back of the calves improve visibility.

ASSOS make simply great kit and this is no exception. Winter riding can be horrible without the right attention to detail and ASSOS make one of the greatest pads out there at the moment or so I have found. Having replaced these at the back end of winter I was surprised out how well they adapt from cold start to slightly warmer 5-8 degrees these tights were neither too hot in the hotter or too cold in the cooler. I was looking at the Bonka version but opted for the Mille GT range on some advice from the team at Sigma and again never disappointed by the guidance or choice. A staple must for any serious cyclist, not fussy in design, great pad and delivers all day long.

These Assos tights are well made, comfortable, have a good pad and are warm enough for me a zero degrees. I am 171 cm, have inside leg measurement of 81.5 cm and weigh 60kg, so I come between sizes. The small size (0) were a little too tight, medium (1) are near perfect fit. I would prefer a zip at the ankle but not having one is not a problem. They are of course quite expensive.
