I’ve been using the Café du Cycliste lightweight gloves through December on solo rides and they’ve been spot on. They’re thin and flexible, but somehow still keep my hands warm once I’m moving. I wouldn’t expect them to handle freezing conditions on their own, but for typical winter rides they’ve been surprisingly effective. The fit is excellent — snug without feeling tight — and they don’t bunch up or feel bulky on the bars. I can still feel the controls properly, which is something heavier winter gloves often get wrong. They’re also comfortable for longer rides and don’t rub or need adjusting once on. For milder winter days or colder mornings that warm up, they’re ideal. Overall, they’re a really useful, well-made pair of gloves that punch above their weight for winter riding. Glad I bought them.
