Castelli's Aria Shell reinvents the wind jacket. No more flapping fabric and no chance of overheating this jacket is incredibly light, close-fitting yet unrestrictive, windproof, and resistant to light rain. Breathability is retained thanks to mesh side panels, and it fits like a second-skin with stretch in the sides and the backs of the sleeves. There's a rear pocket for small items, and when you want to take it off, you can fold the jacket into its own pocket for compact storage.

If you're unfamiliar with your Castelli size, we recommend you go up one size to obtain the best fit possible. Note that you do not need to size up for jackets or vests; please select your normal jersey size.
Castelli clothing is designed for its intended use and should be comfortable when on your bike in a riding position. Your garment should be snug to provide you with moisture-wicking capabilities, as an aerodynamic aid and prevent any fabric from flapping in the wind.

A. Chest: Holding the tape horizontally, measure under your armpits with your arms relaxed at your sides, around the fullest part of your chest.
B. Waist: Holding the tape horizontally, measure around your natural waistline, across the belly button, keeping the tape a bit loose.
C. Hips: Holding the tape horizontally, measure around the largest part of your hips, keeping the feet close together.
D. Inseam: Measure from the crotch to the base of the ankle bone
The jackets looks gorgeous and it truly protects you against the wind. It's generally comfortable to wear although it might fit a bit tighter than other brands and I suggest buying a size more. Mine broke after six months. It got unsewn in a couple of different spots that surprisingly don't have tension at all (forearm and bottom part of the back). I wouldn't recommend given the durability
I purchased this jacked as my wife has the women's version and I needed a lighter weight jacket for milder months. On the whole it is a great jacket, but do bear in mind its a not a full wind blocker and/or waterproof. It is a thin layer that I find best to use riding back from cafe after a ride or for first hour on a colder spring morning. I order XXL and am 42 inch chest and the fit is perfect. The jacket does fold up on itself into one of its pockets - this is quite a cool feature and makes it easy to pack away in your back pockets when riding.
