Castelli Climber's 4.0 Jersey

Racing in the Alps during July is typically reserved for a select group, but the innovations stemming from such experiences offer tremendous benefits to a broader audience. Introducing Castellis Climber's 4.0 Jersey was driven by the need for performance in hot mountainous conditions, informed directly by professional input. Athletes sought a jersey capable of effectively managing temperature without compromising aerodynamics in warm climates. Leveraging the CFD-based seam construction found in our Aero Race 7 Jersey, this jersey integrates advanced 3D mesh fabrics renowned for their exceptional aerodynamic properties and optimal cooling capabilities. These fabrics boast a soft and flexible texture, ensuring a comfortable and unrestricted fit crucial for enduring challenging mountain rides. Moreover, mindful of prolonged sun exposure, the jersey features fabric on the back that effectively blocks up to 90% of harmful UV rays.

high performance item. used in letape for the super hot conditions. certainly on the tighter/"aero" side of fitting. didn't need suncream underneath, thankfully, despite the concerns I had.

I have two 3.0 versions for hot weather riding and rate them highly. Needed another one in white, and thankfully Sigma had it in stock. Overall, I’m happy with the product as most features are carried over from 3.0, bar the pockets which became marginally smaller, just enough to make me worried about my iPhone Pro Max after pothole impacts. That and the sleeves an inch too long (common complaint for all Castelli jerseys) are the only niggles, otherwise it’s a fantastic piece of kit I use for 20C+ rides, the material is soft, stretchy and very breathable, and the styling is classy.

About Castelli

At the front since 1876.

Castelli has been at the front of cycling apparel since 1876, founded in Milan as the original maker of pro race kit. From the first cycling jerseys to today's WorldTour-proven aero garments, the brand has spent nearly 150 years putting innovation onto the backs of the fastest riders in the world.

Castelli outfitted the first organised cycling teams in Italy and has been a constant presence in the pro peloton ever since. The Scorpion logo appears on more WorldTour podiums than almost any other apparel mark.
