OK, the most important thing to know when reading a review on Castelli Clothing is your SIZE and what fits! Just received a Castelli Flanders Warm Base Layer; after reading all the reviews I could find, (everyone said go up one size !) on Castelli; "WRONG" not always. Everyone mentioned tight fit on the Base layer. (not so) it stretches quite a bit, I could have ordered a Medium; but going by all reviews I decided to order a Large! It's OK and comfortable; although I would have preferred it a little tighter, I'm 5ft.10in tall weight 74,kg - 11.1/2 stone and a Medium would have been suitable for me. The base layer is soft and comfortable; and I do like the polo-neck; body is quite long, should keep the Bottom worm inside the tights. Hope this review helps others when choosing the correct size? BTW I'm keeping the Large size.

The SottoZero multi-denier fleece fabric provides the ultimate protection when the mercury drops below zero. The high neck can be pulled up to keep your neck warm, and flat-lock stitching prevents chafing and irritation to the skin. When you're working hard or the temperature starts to rise, mesh inserts under the arms will improve airflow to prevent overheating.
