In all things Castelli I'm a medium, and these gloves are no exception, my hand measured 8, and these are a perfect fit, I doubt I'd get a liner under them but they are so warm I probably wouldn't need to, I've been out today in 5°c for 3 hours and not once did I notice my hands getting cold, I ride on the hoods and my index finger covers the brakes so is always exposed to the elements, in the past this finger is the one that goes cold first then numb, not anymore, my hands were really warm but without the sweat buildup you get with most winter gloves, at one point during my ride I stopped and removed a glove to retrieve a gel, in the past I'd have to battle to get my old winter glove back on due to being damp from sweat, with this glove my hand just slipped straight back in, really nice warm fleece lining with the gore fabric makes for an amazing glove, yes their expensive as is everything these days, but what price can you put on warm hands ?, if it means I can ride for longer once the temperature drops then to me their worth every penny.

Castelli Perfetto Max Gloves
Even warmer than the winter favourite, the Perfetto RoS, the Castelli Perfetto Max Gloves include a thicker inner fleece and have extended coverage over the wrist. The wind and water protection is excellent thanks to the use of GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® stretch high loft fabric and a thermoformed single-seam construction keeps them super comfortable.
The silicone used on the palm enhances grip on the handlebar in all conditions while a Castelli Damping System (CDS) protects the median nerve to reduce discomfort and numbness. The gloves are easy to pull on and remove with stretchy wrist inserts and they're finished with high visibility reflective details.

Glove sizing uses the physical measurement around the widest part of your hand, excluding the thumb.
Gloves should be snug, if you find the palm fits loose when in the cycling position please exchange for a smaller size prior to riding. Always use the pull tags to pull on and remove the gloves if fitted.

Reviews
Castelli say on their website the temperature range for their winter gloves is Perfetto 4 to 14, Perfetto Max 0 to 10, Estremo -5 to 5 celcius. I bought all three on offer to replace my worn out early and deep winter gloves. I don’t think any of the Castellis are good for the bottom of the claimed temperature range unless you run very warm. The Perfetto Max is good for a lot of the British winter, comfortable and dexterous. If in doubt I take the standard Perfetto or Estremo in a pocket as spares. I have not tested them in prolonged rain but I expect they will soak through.
