Very light; needs a bit of layering if cooler, and slightly looser in the body compared with usual Castelli jerseys and jackets. Good quality and well made as you'd expect from this brand.

Castelli Puro 3 Long Sleeve Jersey
A no-nonsense winter garment, the Castelli Puro 3 Long Sleeve Jersey is a highly technical piece of kit with understated style and great looks. With Warmer fabric on the body and sleeves, the main function of this top is to keep you warm and comfortable when the mercury drops a little. It's supremely breathable and has a lightweight composition so you can maximise your efforts without overheating.
The reflective strip to the front and rear panels will help you be seen by other road users during the hours of darkness, especially handy on the short days of winter. Castelli has incorporated three deep pockets to the rear, with ample storage for all of your ride essentials like nutrition and spares. Keeping the fit snug, the YKK Vislon zip is an excellent addition and can be easily operated with one hand.

Reviews
It's a good quality and would have been perfect if the fit had been the usual Castelli sizing - slightly smaller than most other brands. Castelli's small sizes always fit me well. However, this small jersey was more medium than small. Too baggy and too long in the body and sleeves. Unfortunately Sigma Sport didn't have a extra small in stock so I sourced one from another supplier. It fit just like the Castelli small sizes normally do. Maybe it's a one-off for that item or else they are sizing up for the UK and US market. Hope not. It's a perfect jersey for early spring, late autumn and coupled with a gillet it it may suit for the chiller days.beyond.

Q & A
2 questions answered
How does this jersey compare to the Castelli Fondo?
Hi there, This will be a more race fit jersey compared to the Fondo, Many thanks Joe W
How does it compare to Perfetto long sleeve jersey from Castelli? Puro is cooler weather conditions? Which jacket is better for winter conditions?
Hi Peter, The Perfetto would be the better option for winter conditions, as it is rated down to a lower temperature, it also has windproofing and an element of water resistance. Many Thanks Liam
About Castelli
At the front since 1876.
Castelli has been at the front of cycling apparel since 1876, founded in Milan as the original maker of pro race kit. From the first cycling jerseys to today's WorldTour-proven aero garments, the brand has spent nearly 150 years putting innovation onto the backs of the fastest riders in the world.
Castelli outfitted the first organised cycling teams in Italy and has been a constant presence in the pro peloton ever since. The Scorpion logo appears on more WorldTour podiums than almost any other apparel mark.
