Bit disappointed by this, the material is really not that nice. It's scratchy and feels like a waterproof fabric. It would keep you warm I'm sure, but also get you sweaty. There's only the side bits for ventilation, and as it's so close fitting that I don't think the moisture would leave that easily. On the plus side, the zip is nice and chunky, collar length good for a gilet (high) and I like the red/orange colour with reflective details - it's has a sort of high-vis sheen. Classic Castelli sizing, I'm 178cm and a slim at 65kg and the medium only just fit! Shoulders perfect, but waist very tight. The size chart is way off - it says M is a 33 waist and 38.5 hips, I'm about 2 inches less than both these measurements and it only just fits comfortably around the middle (it really seeks out that beer bump!). Plus this is a garment that has to work with items in your back pockets and I don't think it comfortably would. I gave it 3 stars, as it does have some good features, and it might be what you're looking for. But on basis of potential for boil in the bag and the iffy fit, unfortunately mine is going back.

A. Chest: Holding the tape horizontally, measure under your armpits with your arms relaxed at your sides, around the fullest part of your chest.
B. Waist: Holding the tape horizontally, measure around your natural waistline, across the belly button, keeping the tape a bit loose.
C. Hips: Holding the tape horizontally, measure around the largest part of your hips, keeping the feet close together.
D. Inseam: Measure from the crotch to the base of the ankle bone
Reviews
I’ve got a lot of Castelli kit as it’s normally excellent. This isn’t though - unfortunately. I’ve had it for just over a month and only worn it a couple of times - the first is much tighter than normal (even for Castelli) and the fabric has absolutely no wicking facility at all. Both times I’ve worn it I’ve been soaked with a fairly short time. It’s like wearing a shower curtain!
