DT Swiss Aero 111 ARC 1400 WTS 38mm Front Wheel

The aerodynamic performance of these wheels has been meticulously refined, with aero rims, spokes, and hubs designed down to the finest detail. However, to further optimise the wheel-tyre system (WTS), it became clear that an aerodynamic tyre was essential. When no existing tyre could meet the high standards for low aero drag and balanced handling, Swiss Side and DT Swiss collaborated to develop their own. Their well-established partnership led them to seek the expertise of Continental, who contributed advanced rubber technology. This collaboration resulted in the AERO 111 front wheel tyre, perfectly complementing the wheel’s design and setting new aerodynamic standards.

The tyre features 48 small cavities, evenly distributed across its surface. These vortex generators are specifically designed to control turbulence in the airflow around the front wheel, reducing drag across the entire wheel-tyre system and delivering a more efficient ride.
