Endura’s Pro SL Primaloft Gilet II is a versatile piece that can be used for extra insulation on steady rides or as part of a layering system when baltic conditions arrive. By using PrimaLoft® GOLD insulation and windproof shell panels at the front, but stretchy, insulated panels at the back, the gilet provides excellent core warmth without sacrificing fit and breathability. It is slim enough to wear under a windproof or waterproof jacket, adding just enough insulation without feeling restrictive, making it ideal for carrying on extended rides or bikepacking trips when a variety of conditions might be encountered.
As a synthetic insulation, PrimaLoft® GOLD is better than down for use in mixed, damp conditions and for packing away in bags or pockets as the effectiveness of the material will be far less compromised, ensuring that it is always ready to add warmth when required. Furthermore, synthetics can be easily washed at home. There are three rear open pockets, a zipped pocket and reflective details to increase its practicality and the outer fabric even has a DWR treatment to help it stave off light rain.

I wore the vest for the first time today during a cold 40 degree morning ride. I’m happy to report it kept my core nice and warm. I could really feel its effectiveness since other parts of my body were not covered enough (and cold) but my core was great. I’m 5’11, 175lbs and medium fits perfectly.
I've only had to wear this a couple of times since it arrived but on both occasions it was absolutely perfect for the conditions (>5 deg air temp but with a significant wind chill factor). So it provided just the right amount of 'added warm' for my torso without making me too uncomfortable, especially when climbing. Normally I wear Endura jersey's in size M but I ordered both an M & L with this gilet. I keep the L as the M was too short in the body and tighter than I would have wanted across the chest.
