The Gore Wear Endure Jacket is made from breathable, ultralight, waterproof, windproof and robust GORE-TEX PACLITE material to grant comprehensive protection from the elements. The regular fit allows complete freedom of movement when on and off the bike, provides room for insulating base layers underneath and incorporates a slightly longer back section to protect from rear wheel spray.
An over-the-helmet hood grants additional rain protection, while the adjustable hem and velcro cuffs seal out chilly drafts and keep the garment positioned perfectly on the wearer at all times. The full-front zip transforms into a stowaway pocket for the jacket when it’s not being used, and two front zipped pockets are useful additions for storing valuables while exercising. Reflective details complete the Gore Endure jacket design, increasing safety on dark roads.

1) Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the measuring tape horizontal.
2) Waist: Measure around the narrowest part (below the bottom rib an above the hip bones), keeping the tape horizontal.
3) Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the tape horizontal.
4) Arm Length: Measure from the highest point of your shoulder following your bent arm down to wrist bone. Bend your arm slightly.
5) Inside Leg: Measure from the top of your inner leg along the inside seam to the bottom of your leg.
While I've only worn this out a couple of times, each time was in very heavy and persistent downpours, for about a 10 mile commute. The jacket really holds up, the pockets are handy and while the zips are short, not a problem. My only dislike is as others have commented, and I expected, was if you're not wearing your hood up, it catches the wind - it would be nice to be able to stow it/clip it back. It's also not that expensive for a Gore-tex jacket, with a nice cycling cut.
After a lot of searching around and discussions with some fellow riders I settled for this jacket. Three rides in (Cold/wet/mixed temp from very cold to mile - 1C to plus 5C it's been perfect. I usually take a large / 42 inch chest and this size (XL) worked perfectly for me with a thick Gore windproof jacket underneath. The hood is well-sized but is a little fiddly to stow into the collar but that's a trivial observation. I'd buy it again but hope that's a long way off!
