Had a forerunner 735 before, which I loved. Only advantage of this is that it looks slightly prettier. I can’t say I’m blown away with it. The solar charge is questionable, I started the morning with ‘three days’ battery life, ran in Corsican sunshine for 8 hours and the battery ran out after about 6.5. In its defence there is an ‘expedition function’ which I could have tried, but I assumed the solar top-up would keep it going, sadly not, and therefore zero evidence stored of an event of a lifetime! Open Water Swim function also less accurate than the 735, my usual lake loop is 1k by direct route, it clocked it as 0.85 which has made my average 100m pace almost 30% slower! (No more Stava Swim Segments for me then!) In the pool however, it was bang-on length count over a 10k, (although I did no drills), not sure the 735 would have done this.
