I got this bag to replace my old Osprey Zealot 18, which was the perfect bag for me. The Raven 14 is a good bag - very comfortable and secure on the back. The shaped shoulder straps give it a lot of stability. I also love the addition of the pockets in the back panel of the bag. However, filling the pockets puts pressure on the inside compartment, reducing its usable space. This even applies to the pocket for the waterproof cover. When the pockets are only slightly filled, the main compartment will fit four grape punnets. However, when the inner compartment is full, the elastic on the outer compartment will only stretch an inch or so further. My Zealot panel opened up very wide, even with the main compartment full, allowing me to stuff all sorts of things in there. I find this bag less versatile. Finally, the pockets on the waist straps are now made of stretch fabric and are not suitable for keys, meaning I need to take the bag off every time I need my keys.

The Raven 14 is an extremely well-designed bike day bag - the main compartment is large enough to hold a waterproof jacket, waterbottle (should you not want to use the bladder) and food with room to spare. The additional zipped pockets are great for smaller items and there are additional pockets and pouches for anything extra you need to carry. The straps adjust easily for a perfect fit, holding it securely in place when I am mountain-biking, and it is a super-comfortable bag to wear all day. It seems well-made and robust and I can't fault it at ll.
