The tried and tested stubby nosed design of the Sitero Saddle from Specialized is a firm favourite with time triallers and triathlon racers alike. It allows a forward, aerodynamic position in comfort, having been designed with input from riders, Retül fit specialists and doctors. PU padding and the 4-way stretch material provides support and comfort on longer races whilst the cutout channel relieves any unwanted pressure and numbness. Extra hydration and tools can be carried out of the wind behind the saddle by utilising the Integrated Direct Mount Reserve Rack and SWAT-compatible mounts.
I had a Sitero on an old TT bike and it worked. I sold the bike with the saddle which I regretted. New bike cam with a saddle, I changed it within 3 months. The second saddle was a great deal and ok but not stellar. After approx a year it started to come apart 2 days before a race. Picked up a third in emergency...... awful. Finally came full circle and back to the sitero. If I upgrade this bike I am keeping the saddle!
I’ve been riding this now for several weeks. Mostly a 45min commutes, but a few weekend rides over one hour. I’ve got to say, even though it’s designed for TT riding, it’s super comfortable for road riding when you want to hold a slightly more aero position. I’m going to adopt it as my overall saddle (commuting, sportive, weekend, and Triathlon)
