Additional packing components are designed to specifically protect the handlebar, saddle, seatpost and drivetrain.
Manoeuvring the bag around an airport is made easy thanks to the swivelling front wheel, which can be removed at check-in and placed inside the bag for maximum stability. When you arrive at your destination or get back home, the bag can be collapsed down and packed away for storage without taking up too much space.
I now have three cases: this one, the larger solid Thule one, and a Scicon Sports solid case. They all have their virtues, but this one is definitely the tops. Why? Because it seems to provide plenty of protection, is light, very easy to wheel about in airports, etc., and then collapses down to virtually nothing when not in use, which is a big deal if, like me, you often have limited space to store the empty bike case.
