The Xlab Torpedo Reload Kit (black) allows triathletes to upgrade their trusty Torpedo bottle to the new Super-Sealed anti-leak bottle. The kit includes everything you need to upgrade your current bottle and the lie-flat opening maintains the Torpedo's famous aerodynamic performance. With the new Super-Seal cap, the bottle can be turned completely upside down and no fluid leaks out. The BPA-free bottle has a large 768ml capacity and the required straw and drinks valve are included. XLab has used Computational Fluid Dynamic design to optimise the bottle's shape and the Kamm tail reduces drag by up to 50% over traditional bottle designs.
I finally got round to ordering the X-lab Torpedo reload after using a standard bottle in the front mount which was never great. The Torpedo does everything it should. It is simple to re-load on the fly and the position of the straw is a constant reminder to keep drinking. I'm looking forward to using it in my next Ironman Sweden in 5 weeks.
I can’t see a better hydration system than this. Very well designed to cater to different styles of hydration while in the aero position. Easy to set up too!
