The Torpedo bottle is mounted in the 16-layer carbon bottle cage, which allows you to quickly and easily swap out the Torpedo for other standard-size water bottles. This cage is mounted to XLab's new Versa plate. This 16-layer carbon fibre no-bounce plate ensures that the bottle cage and telescoping Garmin computer mount do not rattle and remain secure and aerodynamic. The plate is easily and quickly mounted to your aerobars with two durable Velcro straps. XLab's inclusion of a quarter-turn Garmin mount will be a welcome addition for training and race days and the mount's telescoping capabilities and adjustable angle allows you to dial in the perfect position for you.
Fits the bars, computer mount is good. Straw is quite fiddly, and a nightmare to take in lots of liquid quickly. if you are riding on endlessly smooth roads, maybe, but for most roads in the UK, you will be jumping around the pavement before you get 50mils in. I have used this for a middle distance event and worked very well. It is more stable than the 400 system as it clips to the bars. The garmin mount is easy to place where you want it, but I left the bolt a little too loose and it kept moving. The bottle is easy to drink from, set the straw where you want it and the quick fill is easy to use to top up, although does let some splashes out. All in all happy with the system and will be using it for a full distance later in the year.
