A member of the Sigma Sports Hampton Wick store Bike Sales team, we caught up with Neal Lovell to learn more about his Seven Cycles Axiom XX Road Bike.
What was the reasoning behind choosing the Seven Cycles Axiom XX?
After selling a number of Seven Cycles I knew I had to have one. I have always wanted a titanium bike and seeing the quality of the frames and the fact they are custom-built it was an easy decision to make.
Talk us through your choice of spec?
I went for the Shimano Dura Ace 9170 a PRO Vibe handlebar/stem combo with a Rotor ALDHU chainset and Knight Composites 35 tubeless wheels with Chris King hubs. I matched the colour of the hubs with the Chris King bottom bracket and headset. The bike has been anodised with a leaf pattern across the whole frame as I managed to get permission from my wife for an "Autumn" bike.
What are your thoughts on the finished bike?
It really is the total one bike solution, the ride feel from titanium is totally unique giving you total comfort but at the same time the response and feedback from the bike are incredible and with the durability of titanium you can ride it all year round. I work in a bike shop so probably have too many bikes but the Seven Cycles is the one that stands out above all others.
