Granted ASSOS are not cheap products but the design process that goes in shows in the product. This jersey is a real gem both in quality and function. Having worn this on a very few and far between sunny day (2020 storm central) once you squeeze into the arms there is no distraction, flapping fabric or annoyances, partnered with a long or short sleeve base merino the temperature regulation was brilliant. The fit on the jersey is a race style fit so "tight" just in all the right places. Looks great, feels great and sure there are a few free watts in there somewhere! I hope with the direction of the EQUIRE RS range ASSOS move the summer garments in the same direction with tighter fitting body along side the material used on the arms in 2019. Assos EQUIPE RS Spring Fall Jacket
When you need more protection than a thermal jersey paired with arm warmers can provide, the Assos EQUIPE RS Spring Fall Jacket is ideal. With a twinDeck construction made up of two textiles, a layer of warm air is trapped and the cold air kept out, while breathability remains high. On the fronts of the shoulders, there are two 'valves', the purpose being to pull in air from the outside for a slight cooling effect. Perfect when you want to keep the jacket zipped up for aerodynamics but still need some form of ventilation.
The sleeves use highly elastic SONIC-RN for protection and a close fit while freedom of movement isn't compromised. There are three rear pockets that feature a visibility strip. They provide plenty of storage space and are easy to access mid-race or ride so you can quickly grab a gel or bar. When you really need to let some cool air in, the full front zip can be adjusted to suit, either from the top or the bottom.

Assos apparel is cut anatomically without restricting movement in the riding position. If your build is less than slim or if you like your fit looser, go up in size.

Reviews
This is more of a jersey than jacket, with a close bike specific aero cut. It's ideal for dry fast rides between 10 and 16 degrees. I had to size up from L in assos racing fit to XL to even get my hands in the sleeves, at 182cm and 80kg. Ideally this is paired with a short sleeve or even better sleeveless base layer. It feels very comfortable in a riding position, at the sale price I think its good value but at full price for an item that isn't year round it's quite dear for what it is. Overall it was a useful addition to my cycling wardrobe, but it would not be my first purchase if I was new to road cycling. I also wouldn't use if off road as its too delicate to be hit by bushes and trail hazards.
