I've used these bib shorts regularly now for over a month. The quality of the fabrics and assembly really is incredible - it's significantly better than any other shorts I've ridden decades of riding. The wide straps stay put and give just the right level of support, as do the leg grippers. Where these shorts succeed and fail is in the pad design. The pad itself is nice and thick and is covered by a comfortable surface material. The flaw (for me at least) is that the pad design is "floating" which means it can move around a bit and has a flap of loose wider material over the main pad. I've found that in all rides over an hour the pad design causes chaffing - it seems to occur because the loose material bunches up slightly on the edge of the saddle - so no matter how carefully I put the bib shorts on I land up getting chaffed. I've not had this with any other bib shorts to the same extent so it does seem to be something to do with the design.

Reviews
This was my first Assos purchase after years of buying Castelli, Sportful and Endura. Yes it’s an increase in price but it’s well worth it. Incredibly well made pair of bib shorts with really good attention to detail. I’ve done three rides so far and have found them amazingly comfortable. There is a small bit of writing on the packaging which I feel sums the shorts up, “Equipment not fashion”. Would I buy again...Yes. Would I buy other Assos, definitely Yes. For sizing, 6ft tall, slim 31 waist medium fits perfectly.
