Aero road bikes seem to be the new rage these days. However, for Blue, it isn’t new. You see, they have been designing aero road bikes for nearly four years. In 2012, while most of the world is taking their first crack at an aero frame, Blue are refining one of the most coveted and lauded bikes on the market during the last two years.

Utilizing the advanced SFT2 tube shapes, the original AC1 SL was 18% faster than a standard round tube road frame. With the advancements for the 2012 version, we were able to extract an additional 3%. Proven geometry designed for the road, not triathlons or time trials, is enhanced for 2012 with the addition of a tapered head tube and steerer tube, oversized fork crown, 25% deeper down tube which features the original DropDown Tube technology and bolstered seat tube to top tube junction.

Frame:

• Constructed with Aerus Composites 40T/30T high-modulus carbon fiber and BB30 bottom bracket shell
• SFT2 Super Flow Tube Tech: fork, down tube and seat stay cross sections oriented to the direction the wind flows across bike
• Drop Down Tube design for improved aerodynamic interface between front wheel, fork and downtube
• Micro adjust front derailleur hanger for superior shifting

Headset:

• FSA Orbit C-33 1-1/8 inch top bearing, 1-1/4 inch lower bearing integrated
