Riding fast is not just reserved for £1000+ wheels. The new Bontrager Aura 5 TLR Front Clincher Wheel offers supreme levels of aerodynamics. This wheel's unique ACC construction combines lightweight and durable aluminium with carbon fibre to create a wind-cheating profile that maintains stiffness.
The new Aura 5 TLR is such tremendous value it's almost in a class by itself. While it shares a similar weight with other competitors, the Aura leaves them for dead when it comes to aerodynamics: Its 50mm rim, with D3-inspired shaping, saves an average of 19 seconds per hour compared to rival wheels.
Along with the rim's superior stiffness, the 23-millimetre wide rim profile improves cornering stability whilst also allowing for a more aerodynamic profile.
The TLR rim system means that this wheel is ready for a quick transition to a tubeless setup and the included TLR rim strip and TLR valve stem means that setup is a quick and easy process, with the conversion kit (sold separately).
With its unique ACC construction, the Aura 5 also has a strong and reliable alloy braking surface with a wear mark indicator.
