A highly versatile clincher wheelset, the Campagnolo Shamal Ultra C17 features a lightweight and laterally stiff aluminium rim to grant heightened responsiveness during powerful sprints and when climbing the steepest hills. The front rim has a slightly shallower 27mm depth to guarantee excellent crosswind handling, while the rear rim has a deeper 30mm profile to help increase rigidity and power transfer. Both rims are realised via the Dynamic Balance format that counterbalances every rim section to improve stability at higher riding speeds.

MOMAG spoke hole technology is integrated into the rims, which cancels the need for drillings in the tyre bed, improving structural integrity and negating the need for rim tape. The aluminium spokes are light, strong and aerodynamic and link the rims to part-carbon hub shells. These aesthetically pleasing hub shells house USB bearings that are super-smooth and durable.
