These have a really good on-the-bike fit, they are pretty tight but true-to-size. I've ridden in heavy rain and sleet and they shed rain well up to a point, but are still comfortable once they fully wet-out. The front splash guards are reflective and add visibility, they are obviously covered up somewhat when wearing overshoes but I don't see this as a problem. The ankle zips are a well thought-through design and are on the inside of the ankle/lower leg - it works and avoids pressure from shoes/winter boots/overshoes. I find these most comfortable above freezing, and I think work best from around 5 degrees upwards. For me, below 5 degrees and I'm more comfortable wearing Windstopper bib tights. Overall another excellent, and technically superior, product from Castelli!

Castelli Nano Flex Pro 2 Bib Tight
Castelli's Rain or Shine lineup has been designed to offer the best of both worlds - comfortable, breathable and functional kit that you'd have no qualms using in the dry, but with superb waterproofing properties that you can rely on to perform even if the weather turns south. This Nano Flex Pro 2 Bib Tight is no different - featuring a multi-density Progetto X2 Air pad, this is a luxuriously comfortable bib tight that you can ride in all day long.
However, it's also packed with weatherproofing features that make it a rock-solid clothing option should the weather deteriorate. Castelli's Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric repels water effectively to keep the worst of the conditions out, while still allowing your body to breathe. This stops you from over-heating inside an unbreathable waterproof, so you can work harder in more comfort. The tight also boasts waterproof splash guards around the ankles, to help ward off any spray from the road.
Castelli has also spent considerable time working to reduce the number of seams used in the design. This has a double benefit - firstly, the fewer the seams, the fewer entry points there are for water to ingress. Secondly, seams can often be areas that end up irritating the skin on long rides. By minimising the number of required seams, Castelli has created a truly luxurious bib tight that you can rely on hour after hour and mile after mile.

Reviews
I had a large pair for some six years, before they wore through. They performed suberbly in the very worst of wet and cold. Slightly snug for me (6ft and 34 waist), so I replaced with extra large, which are more comfortable. Good to see that the design and materials have not been changed except for the shoulder straps. These are now broader and better than toe previous rather narrow ones. The pad is good, and was only just beginning to fail on my old pair, so did very well.

About Castelli
At the front since 1876.
Castelli has been at the front of cycling apparel since 1876, founded in Milan as the original maker of pro race kit. From the first cycling jerseys to today's WorldTour-proven aero garments, the brand has spent nearly 150 years putting innovation onto the backs of the fastest riders in the world.
Castelli outfitted the first organised cycling teams in Italy and has been a constant presence in the pro peloton ever since. The Scorpion logo appears on more WorldTour podiums than almost any other apparel mark.
