Originally, jerseys were all a wool mixture. Although Castelli understands that this is not the best material for all applications, it recognises that it still has a place in cycling clothing. Hence why this jacket, the Storica, uses a blend of wool and polyester to give you the best of everything.

The polyester is used here to assist with moisture removal and wicking to allow you to maintain the warmth of the wool, without becoming damp and cold. Polyester also keeps this garment exceptionally light and easy to care for.

Honouring the past does not mean there is not room for new features. The YKK® Camlock zipper is an excellent example of how far things have come, even in a relatively simple area. Three rear pockets keep your essentials near at hand.
