The V2-R is Colnago's flagship race bike and the V2-R Disc Road Frameset adds disc brake compatibility so you can take corners fast and descend with confidence, no matter the conditions. This bikes predecessor, the V1-R, was Colnagos first foray into aero bikes and with the release of the fully aero Concept, the V2-R has become a great all-round option, just as capable climbing in the mountains as it is sprinting on the flats.

The carbon fibre monocoque frame and carbon dropouts result in an incredibly lightweight, far stiffer carbon construction; 13% stiffer in the bottom bracket and 4% at the head tube. Consequently, power transfer is extremely efficient so all your watts make it through your pedal stroke and onto the road, for increased power output. This frame makes an excellent basis to build a responsive and lively bike, with super fast acceleration.

Other improvements include a new seat clamp with an integrated design for clean aesthetics, and a redesigned top tube and head tube junction. The cable port has moved to the top of the downtube so the internal cable routing takes a more direct route for smoother shifting performance.

This frameset is designed for disc brakes and fits flat mount calipers and thru-axles. The benefits of disc brakes are huge, especially in wet conditions. Where rim brakes might let you down, disc brakes will ensure powerful and controlled stopping.

Colnago's ThreadFit82.5 bottom bracket provides the benefits of both PressFit and threaded systems; rigidity and reliability, and is compatible with all PressFit 86.5 bearings.

Increased clearance, for up to 28mm tyres, adds versatility, as many road cyclists are choosing wider tyres for the added comfort and reduced rolling resistance they bring.
