Continental Race King Shieldwall MTB Tyre
Continental’s competition-ready Race King Shieldwall MTB Tyre is perfect for cross country races, marathon missions and any other off-road rides when speed is key. The PureGrip rubber is based on activated silica, and sits just below BlackChili in Continental’s rubber hierarchy. It has fantastic durability whilst still providing excellent levels of grip and low rolling resistance.
Shieldwall is lightweight puncture protection that doesn’t reduce the suppleness of the tyre or increase its weight too much, yet still prevents flats; ideal for XC racers. The tyre is also tubeless-ready so that it can be run at lower pressures for more comfort and grip without risking pinches, and will self-seal many smaller holes if used with a suitable sealant. Also certified for electric bike use.
