ENVE SES 7.8 QR Disc Clincher Wheelset with Chris King Hubs
Perfect to complete the aerodynamic set up on your time trial or triathlon bike, ENVE's SES 7.8 QR Disc Clincher Wheelset with Chris King Hubs is lightweight and will significantly reduce drag to knock those vital seconds off your times. These tubeless-ready clinchers are easy to convert so you can benefit from the comfort and traction that come from running lower tyre pressures, as well as reducing your risk of punctures.
Disc brakes are becoming a common sight on performance bikes and without the constraints of a brake track, ENVE have redesigned the rim shape and removed the heat management material. The result is 40 - 60 grams being shaved off each rim as well as enhanced impact resistance and increased lateral stiffness. With the weight shifted to the hub, responsiveness is improved, whether cornering, accelerating or braking.
The rim has been optimised for 25mm tyres for the best blend of comfort and fast rolling performance. The deep section rims have a depth differential between front and rear, with a slightly shallower 71mm front to add stability in windy conditions. The rear 80mm depth is extremely aerodynamic and slices through the wind, pushing you towards your fastest times and best performances.
24 spokes, front and rear, lace the rim to the R45 Chris King hubs. Renowned for their high-quality components, these hubs are no exception, and the lightweight hub body and 45 tooth system reduces drag and offers almost instant engagement. Whether climbing, sprinting or braking, you'll be able to respond quickly. The legendary, made-in-house steel bearings are what sets these hubs apart from the competition and you will feel the difference on every ride.
