The SynMat HL M Sleeping Pad from Exped combines a layer of microfibre insulation with the air in the mattress to increase its warmth. The tapered shape helps keep the weight down by removing any excess material and makes it easier to slot the mat into a bivvy bag or small tent. It is easily inflated using the Schnozzel Pumpbag which can also be used as a stuff sack and this method has the added advantage of not blowing moist, bacteria-laden air into the cavity. Anti-slip GripSkin coating and deeper outer baffles hold the user comfortably in place.
