After much research I bought the Favero Assioma Uno last month and can honestly say that its the best piece of cycling kit I've ever bought. I've never written a review before but this product is so good I thought I would try to help others as they navigate their way through the power meter minefield. I watched many videos and read a lot of articles about them beforehand and the only negative I found was the fact that you have to use Look Keo cleats with them - that has not been a problem as you just get used to them. The main thing is that all the testers said that they were very accurate which to me was the most important factor. The price is very reasonable compared with the longer established brands - probably because they don't spend fortunes on sponsorship and want to gain a percentage of the market. They are so easy to set up - I use a Wahoo Elemnt and and iPhone 8. The pairing was simple as were the instructions and I get the power readings post ride on the Wahoo app and also Strava. The main attraction of power pedals is that I have many bikes and it now only takes me a few minutes to swap them over and calibrate and also to take them abroad with me. I've had a Stages crank arm meter before and other than the fact that the connectivity was unreliable it's too much hassle swapping it from bike to bike. The reliability to date has been perfect, after set up just keep them charged and go out and ride, within 25 metres you can see your power reading on the GPS unit. I went for the Uno on the basis that I'm not a Pro and for my purposes I'm happy with a consistent left side reading but they obviously do the twin sided Duo as well. Can't tell you how good these are - I would give them 6 stars if I could.

I am the wife and mum of cycling mad family. In lockdown my family took to their bikes. The power pedals were always discussed amid strava, Zwift and various others words which mean little to me. I decided to throw caution to the wind and splash out for a pair of these for my son only to find my husband got so engrossed in what my son was achieving he clearly needed some too. It was a fabulous upgrade during these times and brought us all a little closer as evening meals ended up being output, wattage, conversions, zwift doping. It all has made me smile and my teenager has talked a little more!
