Upgraded to the Edge 850 from my old Wahoo Elemnt Bolt v1. Without repeating countless online reviews, the Edge 850 is an extremely capable device and obviously a huge step up vs what I had before. That being said a things have bugged me when moving across from the Wahoo ecosystem: - SMS notifications of live tracking are stuck behind a paywall. This was free on Wahoo. - Still haven't got live segments from Strava working on it, nor is there support for Strava Relative Effort (the data field in Connect IQ is not yet compatible with the Edge 850). - Climbpro is great, but the gradient often seems off / laggy. - Screen is not as responsive with gloves as I'd have hoped, buttons are less intuitive / responsive than Wahoo. - Garmin Pay functionality is completely oversold - in reality very few major institutions in the UK support it, and neither the two major banks I use or Amex will support it. Overall I like my 850 - but hard to say I love it.

Data, in the hands of the riders who act on it.
Garmin has been navigating riders, runners and explorers since 1989. From the original GPS unit to today's Edge cycling computers and Forerunner watches, every product is built to put rich, accurate data into the hands of the people who'll act on it.
The Edge range is the most widely used cycling computer line in the world. Mapping, power, training load, structured workouts, group ride messaging, incident detection — Edge has set the bar most other head units now chase.
