Keeping track of your positioning like a Garmin Edge cycling computer, the Fenix 3 uses highly accurate GPS/GLONASS positioning to map your route or ensure you’re on the right one, all whilst advanced sensors incorporated into the HR watch alert you when to turn or if you’re going off course - perfect for going out and exploring new territories.
The Fenix 3 Sapphire’s extensive testing and high-quality construction means you can run in every weather condition imaginable, and even use it to track your course on off-road, muddy adventures such as ToughMudder.
LiveTrack and Smart Notifications are also now used, which displays text messages, incoming calls and allows for tracking of other runners in your area, meaning if you’re in a race and your partner gets injured, or you lose sight of the group ahead, you know how far or behind they are. You can now even download widgets from the Garmin Connect IQ store, such as Live Suffer Score, to measure just how hard you’re working.
Battery performance has also been addressed, and thanks to its rechargeable nature, the Fenix 3 has up to 20 hours of battery life when in GPS mode, 50 hours in UltraTrac GPS mode (running mode) and 6 weeks in watch mode.
