Giro Caden MIPS Commuter Helmet
Styled for urban life, but still packing plenty of safety features, Giro’s Caden MIPS Commuter Helmet has excellent all-round coverage for maximum protection. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) allows the helmet to rotate around the head in the event of a glancing or oblique blow without transmitting those forces to the head, neck and brain. This provides an extra level of safety on top of the usual protection against direct hits. This feature is integrated into the simple Roc Loc City MIPS fit system which adjusts the helmet to size using a dial at the rear to tighten or loosen the internal cradle.
The full Hardbody wrap not only adds to the helmet’s safety but also resists the kind of knocks and scrapes typical of use in a busy city and the Lock port provides the ability to securely attach the helmet to the bike lock when left outside a shop, cafe or office. The peak prevents rain from dripping off the helmet into the eyes and keeps the sun out but is removable if not required, and 12 large vents help regulate the temperature on warmer rides.
