Giro Factor ACC Road Shoes
The Giro Factor ACC Road Shoes offers comfort, optimal power transfer and a superb fit. With many of the same features found on Giro's top-of-the-range road shoe, the Factor ACC is able to deliver performance in a shoe so comfortable you'll want to ride all day long.
The upper of the Factor ACC is constructed from EvoFibre, a highly breathable and lightweight micro fibre that is very thin, supple and will mould to the shape of your foot. A special layering technique used in the manufacture of EvoFibre provides phenomenal breathability, this means that there is no need for large vents which can lead to cold feet in cooler weather. EvoFibre also provides much more even cooling over the whole foot, unlike a vented system that will draw in cool air only at specific points.
An improved MR1 buckle and 2 D-ring straps ensure a comfortable and secure fit. The MR1 Buckle is micro adjustable in 2 mm increments for both tightening and loosening tension in the strap. The buckle also has a very low stack height of just 7 mm, reducing drag and also the likelihood of damage in the event of a crash. The D-ring which holds the middle strap is offset to remove pressure from the metatarsal bone and also provide a more even tension across the foot.
The ACC part of the Factor ACC name is derived from the Easton EC90 ACC sole, that provides increased lateral stiffness, by a claimed 30% over previous generations of the sole. Whilst being stiff the EC90 ACC sole is also very light and helps keep the overall weight of the shoe down to a feathery 240 grams.
