The Tech 4 brake offers a 30 percent increase in pressure compared with the Tech 3, providing greater braking power while maintaining smooth, controllable modulation.

Ergonomic Lever Design

The lever shape has been updated for improved ergonomics, offering the best mechanical advantage during braking. Tool free bite point and reach adjustments allow easy customisation for individual rider preferences, while lateral adjustment on both sides of the master cylinder provides a wide range of lever positions.

Advanced Caliper Construction

The rigid, CNC machined one-piece caliper features a hinged clamp to reduce weight and reservoir area, lowering overall stack height. Hybrid pistons combine stainless steel shells for smooth movement with phenolic inserts to manage heat during extreme use.

Shifter Integration and Compatibility

Shifter integration has been improved, offering 30 degrees of angle adjustment and compatibility with a wider range of current shifter options. The brake is compatible with post mount 9.74 calipers, using adapters to suit all mounting options and rotor sizes of 160, 180, 183, 200, 203 and 220 mm.

Adjustable Mechanical and Hydraulic Ratios

The hydraulic ratio has been optimised with a small diameter master cylinder bore, while the mechanical ratio has been fine-tuned using real riding data. This ensures an intuitive linear relationship between lever force and brake pressure, providing a usable feel throughout the full range of reach and bite point adjustments.

Pads and Finishing

All Tech 4 brakes are supplied with new racing compound pads, offering excellent performance straight from the box with improved fade resistance compared with standard organic pads. The complete brake is available in black, purple, red, orange, blue and silver, and can be fitted with either standard or braided hose, with braided hoses available at extra cost.
