Knog Scout Bike Security Alarm and Finder

We understand that your bike is a prized possession and leaving it unattended, even when secured, can be risky. The Knog Scout Bike Alarm and Finder provides unparalleled Bike security by combining both an extremely loud 85db bike alarm function with a highly accurate bike finder, using Apple's "Find My" app.

Once armed, any movement of a Scout fitted Bike will trigger the motion-sensitive audio alarm discouraging any further movement and alerting the bike's owner, both by the sound of the alarm and via a notification that is automatically sent to the owner's iPhone (when in Bluetooth range).

Then in a scenario where a bike fitted with Scout is not where the owner has left it, it can be quickly located using Apple's network via the "Find My" app.

  • Arming Scout Is Quick & Easy - Arming or disarming the Scout alarm is made simple and can be achieved in two ways; via the button on the side of the device when the connected iPhone is in close proximity (< 1.5 m) or via the Knog app when the device is within Bluetooth range
  • Mounting & Securing - With Scout, there's the choice of overt or discreet security. To advertise that the bike is fitted with Scout, simply use the neon yellow silicone cover provided. For more discreet security, attach Scout to the bike via the bottle cage mounts using tamper-proof security screws without the cover
  • Mounting With A Bottle Cage - Scout's extremely low profile and compact design allows for it to be neatly bolted and hidden underneath a bottle cage. This is a great way to keep Scout hidden

Great service as always from Sigma Sports. The Knog Scout came in a neat package, well protected, and with long security screws allowing fitment under a bottle cage. Unlike some reviews, they didn't fall out when the box was opened, in fact they were securely pushed into the thick cardboard insert and required a bit of force to remove. After charging the device for a couple of hours I was able to set up the App and bluetooth connection to my iPhone. Seems to work great but not yet tested in anger. I plan to take my bike abroad next year and I hope the Scout will let me track it through the airport baggage process. Would be nice if the different alarm settings could be demonstrated via the App, but this doesn't seem to be possible.

Feel happier now I know where my new bike is located. Easy to track using the 'Wheres my iPhone' App. Is well out of sight mounted under the bottle cage mount

  1. What is the point if the alarm doesn’t alert your phone unless you are next to your bike??!!

    1. Hi there, It's an 85 dB on-bike alarm and a tracker, rather than a remote alarm. Movement sets off the alarm and notifies your phone within Bluetooth range; to find it once it's gone, it uses Apple's Find My network rather than a live mobile alert. Thanks

  2. Can this be tracked by 2 separate iPhones? My son wants to be able to track and alarm the device on his bike and I also want to be able to monitor his whereabouts using ‘find my’. Thanks
