Conventional bells can be cumbersome and dominate valuable handlebar accessory space, but not the Knog Oi Classic Small Bell. The hammer is placed conveniently perpendicular to the bar, allowing you to flick your thumb off your grip to sound its delightful chime. The unobtrusive and sleek design means it doesn't get in the way but it's always there when you need it. This 'small' edition refers to the handlebar diameter, and is suited to bars with a 22.2mm cylindrical diameter - it is not compatible with aerodynamic or ergonomic shaped profiles.
It's a nice looking bell and is very discreet on my bars. It gives a good long, loud ding and is nice to listen to. One problem I had initially was that it dinged slightly on its own when riding, I had to really loosen off the screw and it now rotates easily by hand, but not on its own. This issues is recognised in the user instructions. Overall, excellent.
Excellent little bell. Good, audible ring. Much better than standard supplied by manufacturers. Not quite as good as a Spurcycle but it is a fraction of the price.
