Description
Mad Fiber Carbon Clincher Ceramic Wheelset
Same wheelset as the clincher version but with ceramic bearings.
Ceramic bearings have become well known in cycling and equip most World Champions and Olympic medalists' bikes. Relative to their steel counterparts, ceramic bearings offer significant reduction of friction and weight, and are extremely wear resistant.
Engineered to ensure an optimal combination of aerodynamics, minimal weight and durability. Simply put faster, lighter, stronger…the innovation continues. Mad Fibers unique approach to wheel design, in a clincher version.
The clincher wheel mirrors its tubular counterpart in construction, with the exception of an aluminum rim bed but this is no simple adaption, rather an evolution. The fore mentioned material is “sandwiched” and bonded between the two outside carbon rim sections. The choice of aluminum structurally enhances the wheel construction and acts as a heat sink, drawing heat from the carbon braking surfaces. utilizes resins and adhesives that surpass the industry norm, offering further stability at extreme temperatures. In short this is a huge step forward in addressing 2 critical design criteria, heat management and safety.
Further structural improvements see a one-piece drive-side spoke assembly, enhancing both lateral stiffness and aesthetics compared with 1 generation wheel-sets.
Patent pending design and construction methods, optimized for athletes who are passionate about performance. Mad Fiber; when velocity counts.
