Mountains is the work of advertising photographer, Michael Blann who is currently half way through a 2 year project photographing the most famous peaks and climbs in Europe. Available exclusively to Sigma Sport customers, the chance to own a limited edition print from the project which will eventually make up the body of work in the anticipated coffee table book due to be released winter 2014.

Shot predominantly on a high resolution digital Hasselblad camera and sometimes from a helicopter the work brings stunning clarity and perspective to the subject. In his words, photographer Michael Blann explains his motivation behind the project " I have wanted to capture the permanence of mountains – their scale and sheer presence. Therefore, it has been important to photograph them through all times of the day and seasons. It’s this constant presence that is demonstrated through the winter shots. Even during the night when the roads are quiet and lit by moonlight the mountains take on a different persona. I also wanted to explore another underlying theme – that the Grand Tours are nothing more than a travelling circus, which visit the mountains one day and are gone the next."
