New Balance Summit K.O.M. Trail Running Shoes
Trail running brings with it a unique set of requirements from a running shoe as it must be comfortable, lively and rugged. The New Balance Summit K.O.M. Trail Running Shoes answers to all of these prerequisites via a comprehensive set of off-road inspired features.
The density of the midsole has been configured precisely to promote ample levels of spring and energy into every stride while its natural levels of plushness provide comfort and support over even the most irregular of terrain. A Vibram rubber outsole and its partnering studded tread pattern then complement by promoting grip and traction for movement in any plane no matter the underfoot conditions. A Rock Stop Plate is then integrated within the sole structure to protect the feet by dispersing high-pressure points when running over particularly rough surfaces.
An engineered mesh upper provides ample ventilation for when the conditions are stifling before a traditional lace closure system offers foot support and security while being infinitely adjustable.
Please note, due to variances created during the development and manufacturing processes, all references to 8mm drop are approximate.
