Oakley have had a long and illustrious history in the professional sport, worn by some of cycling’s most renowned champions, the likes of Giro d’Italia winner Andy Hampsten, Tour de France victor Carlos Sastre and more recently, dominator of Classics, Fabian Cancellara are all Oakley wearers. Reaching their 30th anniversary of producing high performance eyewear Oakley have produced a very limited range of Heritage glasses. Celebrating some of the most iconic glasses the American company has ever made. The Oakley Eyeshade sunglasses were first worn by Greg Lemond who took them to the Tour de France podium in 1985. Stylish, retro and back for 2014, Oakley is giving you the chance to wear a true piece of cycling memorabilia.
It may be a design nearly 30 years old but Oakley have subtly brought the Eyeshades right up to date with a commemorative ‘2014’ logo on the inside of the frames, celebrating the big 30 year milestone. They have also improved fit and comfort with an improved nosepiece and two ear stems included to help the glasses sit perfectly on the face.
As these are clearly a special set of sunglasses, Oakley have also included a badge and stickers to give these glasses a unique and special twist.
Finishing off what is a sensational collectors piece, a custom Microclear bag is provided keeping your glasses safe and also acting as a handy lens-cleaning device.
