A reinforced casing construction with a woven-fabric bead-to-bead layer protects against smaller punctures and the kind of sidewall slashes that are more common on rocky terrain. I'm doing a lot of winter riding and wanted a tyre with better grip and puncture protection. Just ticked over 500 km on them this month and love the ride. Gives me more confidence on greasy descents and no appreciable difference in rolling resistance in these winter conditions. Riding the 35c tubeless.
