So, I had the previous version of this (Mezcal) before the renaming of the tyres and it was great! Light, grippy, shed mud and tracked exactly where I wanted it to go. Went for this as the last one started degrading on the sides so thought I’d upgrade. Well well, first ride out i hit the deck. Blew up smaller than the 44c it replaced. (45c but came up smaller than the older one it replaced), and less grippy. So much so that I hit the deck after it slipped along a root and flipped me over the bars - landing on my shoulder and head. Right before the start line of a 120km gravel ride! Managed to finish the ride but lost confidence in the tyre and front end. Positives, it sheds mud, rolls fast enough. Negatives, narrower than I expected, slippery(er?) than I expected… it’ll stay on for now and I’ll give it a second chance but I don’t like it as much as the older version it replaced.

Reviews
Very happy with the tyres bought for winter riding in mid-Wales, and so far so good. Did a very wet, rocky and muddy 80k ride in the Peak District on the weekend, so they were great, good traction in the muddy sections and no problems on the rocky bits.
