Description
Train with power and save valuable watts with the Rotor INpower Flow MAS Crankset. The inclusion of the INpower means that you can gain an accurate and lasting picture of your power through the entire pedal stroke. Utilising an ANT+ signal and a single AA battery for power, INpower cranks are compatible with any ANT+ enabled bike computer.
The crankset's aero shape has been specifically designed from a purely functional perspective in performance and not just aesthetics, using the Computer Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Design. CFD is a software program that can simulate an actual wind tunnel test and allows Rotor to isolate a specific part of the bicycle in motion. The rigidity of the Rotor Flow is not compromised, as it is 10% stiffer than most aero cranks on the market.
The aero profile of the crank arms has been optimised according to the varying airflow the crank encounters from the axle to the pedals, throughout the 360° pedal stroke. The crank arms and the spider are designed separately in order to acquire a maximum advantage of the crank’s aero profile.
The crank arms of the Rotor Flow are made of 100% CNC machined, 7075 T6 aluminium, which has been Trinity drilled for a further weight reduction. Rotor's axle system has been specifically developed for multiple BB systems. In addition, Rotor has extended the compatibility of the Flow, as now it features an improved ultra-stiff 30mm aluminium UBB axle.
The "UBB System" allows the installation of almost any 24mm or 30mm Rotor axle crank on your bike, regardless of its BB type.
Furthermore, this crankset is equipped with the "MAS" (Micro Adjust Spider). This technology allows more options for a further optimised Q-Ring setup. MAS spiders have a secondary set of bolt holes that allow Q-Ring users to regulate their Q's with more accuracy by offering half increments between the normal "Optimum Chainring Position" settings.
This crank is manufactured using an improved version of Rotor´s proprietary "Trinity Drilling System" technology. Due to the larger axle-crank contact area of a BB30 crank, all three holes can be drilled from the axle side of the crank arm, allowing further optimisation of wall thicknesses. It improves both the weight and the weight-rigidity ratio of the crank arm.
