Roval Alpinist CLX II Disc Front Wheel
Designed to excel when the road heads up, Roval’s Alpinist CLX II Disc Front Wheel is incredibly light, yet offers fantastic strength, thru-axle and Center Lock compatibility, and is now tubeless-ready.
The wide, shallow profile of the carbon rim keeps the weight down but still offers an aerodynamic advantage and excellent support for larger, modern road tyres. The hooked design means that both tubed and tubeless tyres can be used for maximum versatility and a slight reduction in rim size allows 1.4mm of extra slack in the tyre’s bead for easier fitting.
Roval’s LFD hub is lighter than the previous iteration and uses the internals from DT Swiss’ premium 180 range for super-smooth running, with SINC ceramic bearings for reduced drag and increased longevity. Also from DT Swiss, the aerolite spokes used in the build are their lightest and most aerodynamic offering, underlining Roval's quest to cheat gravity. Hex Prolock aluminium nipples ensure that the spokes stay tensioned and the wheel true thanks to the clever design that keeps them tight.
